Site Description
Howard University Beltsville Site (39.054°N; 76.877°W) is located in Beltsville, Maryland. It is an area that is covered by grass and surrounded by deciduous trees, but also is in proximity to plants and industries.

Objectives
  • Enhance the capacity of Howard University to conduct research in atmospheric observations for the improvement of weather, climate, and air quality prediction
  • Provide hands-on student training in instrumentation and state of the art techniques of atmospheric observation
  • Contribute to national and international climate and environmental monitoring networks (SURFRAD, CEOP, BSRN, etc)
